Instructions for Setting up a New MERA/DCRA Account

These are the instructions to complete the 2012 FSA-MERA/DCRA Online Enrollment for New Participants beginning November 7, 2011. Must be completed by December 9, 2011. If you are paid on an academic year basis, please contact the Benefits Office at extension 4478 or 4355 for instructions.

Creating a New Account
1. Log on to www.myebsaccount.com
2. Click on the link under New Participant.

Creating the Participant Record
1. Enter the Group Pass Code EBS104847 on the Create a New Member screen.
2. Enter your Employee ID Number from your pay stub in the following format:
99_-_ _ -_ _ _ _ .
3. Enter your Email Address.
4. For Username enter your Employee ID Number from your pay stub in the following
format: 99 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (without dashes).
5. For Password enter the last four digits of your Employee ID Number from your pay
stub in following format: _ _ _ _.
6. Enter the “Name” fields.
7. Skip Birth Date
8. Employment Start Date in the following format MM/DD/YYYY (if you don’t remember your start date use current date)
9. Click Create New Member.

Updating Your Personal Profile
1. Enter the “Address” fields.
2. Enter e-mail address.
3. Other fields are not required.
4. Click “Save.”

To Add Elections
1. From the home page; access the “Click Here” link in the box titled “!Attention!”
2. For each Plan type enter your “Annual Election” amount (The Dependent Care Account (DCAP) is for work related childcare expenses; The Health Care Account (MEDFSA) is for uncovered medical expenses). Maximum is $5,000.
3. Click “Submit” for each plan type or “Submit All” when annual election amount has been entered (Note: You may edit elections at any time during the Open Enrollment Period. When the Open Enrollment Period closes on December 9, 2011, your most recent election will be saved).
4. After all elections are Confirmed and Submittted the following message will display:”Your Application has been received. A copy has been emailed to you (at the email address in your EBS profile). If you have any additional questions, please contact your administrator.”
5. Print the confirmation page and keep for your records.

EBS Flex Card Note
Two Flex Cards are initially issued; one for the participant and one for a dependent. If additional cards are needed:
Click – “Document Library”
1. Click “Additional Flex Card Request Form (interactive)”
2. Complete the form, print the form, and return it to EBS for processing.

Click “Logout”
