As a student: agitating for change, for queer students, for women, for students of color. In the classroom: transformed by new ideas. As a professor: teaching queer theory, women's and gender studies, tutorials on Whitman and Dickinson. Working to sustain community. Mother, avid cook, yard saler, and, recently, disabled. Never forgetting how hard it was.
