To the Williams community,
Today, Tuesday, May 2, is Staff Appreciation Day 2023.
Every year, the college honors staff colleagues who have reached major milestones in their work for the Williams community. This spring, we celebrate a remarkable cohort of 131 staff, some of whom have worked here for more than 35 years.
Amidst profound changes in higher education and the world of work overall, each of this year’s honorees has personally earned our appreciation for their commitment. Moreover, as a group, they represent the talent and dedication of our staff as a whole.
Throughout the day today, please take a moment to congratulate our colleagues who are marking a work anniversary this year, as well as those about to retire. A personal “thank you” from an appreciative colleague or student can mean so much, in addition to the institutional recognition. I look forward to congratulating so many friends and colleagues myself at today’s luncheon—and to celebrating with you since this is my fifth year, too.
We look forward to recognizing this year’s retirees at their own special event on May 17. Please also contribute your stories and good wishes to our collection for them, if you wish.
To all of this year’s honorees: thank you for your partnership and hard work. And congratulations on your latest Williams milestone!
