Effective May 6th Face Coverings Required

Effective Wednesday, May 6, 2020, Governor Baker issued an Order requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places, both indoors and outdoors, where social distancing is not possible.  Full details are outlined in the May 1 Order.

Essential staff in facilities, dining services, campus safety, the library, and mail operations have been issued cloth face coverings. Staff who occasionally come to campus to perform a critical function are expected to have their own face covering. We understand that some staff may work in a private office in relative isolation, they too should have a face covering with them in the event they may come into contact with others. Be sure face coverings covers your nose and mouth. Cloth coverings should be washed daily. Visit the CDC website to learn more about the Use of Cloth Face Coverings to Help Slow the Spread of COVID-19 including instructions on how to make cloth face coverings.

Employees who do not have face coverings will be asked to go home. The college has a limited supply of disposal surgical tie-on masks, one may be provided as back up in the event an employee forgets their face covering and they must be at work.  Due to supply issues, these will be issued sparingly. Please contact campus safety to coordinate in these instances.
