Kristen MacFarlane, new Assistant Director of Benefits and Compensation

Kristen MacFarlane, Assistant Director for Benefits and Compensation

Please join us in welcoming Kristen MacFarlane as the new Assistant Director of Benefits and Compensation. Kristen serves as a key member of the HR management team. She will provide strategic leadership for and management of employee benefits and wellness initiatives, as well as lead a review of the existing compensation structure – influencing the design and development of a structure that will support the dynamic needs of our staff.

Kristen brings more than two decades of experience in financial consulting, benefits compliance, and healthcare advising. Prior to joining Williams, she worked with Cigna, one of the world’s largest healthcare companies, to help corporate leaders and employees optimize their use of benefit plans while reducing costs. Most recently, Kristen was the Employee Benefits Supervisor for the City of Baltimore.

Kristen is a New Hampshire native and Middlebury alumna, so returning to a small liberal arts college in New England is a welcome homecoming for her. In her free time, she loves to hike, kayak, play piano, and “chill” with her three rescue cats – which have already become infamous on video calls.

You will all get to know Kristen better through the open enrollment process this Fall. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to her with questions or just to say welcome to Williams!  She can be reached at [email protected] or leave a message at ext 4478.

Many thanks to members of the search committee for all your time and input!
