Williamstown Woodland Loop Hike (7/9)

WHEN: 9am, July 9th

The Communities of Williams (CoW) Young Professionals group is offering a guided hike through Williamstown woodland areas.

WHAT/ WHERE: The Berkshire Camino leaders will be guiding this hike and will provide some cultural and present day perspective about Williamstown and the Berkshires in general. The hike is 5.5 miles (9 km). Start at 9am from Spring Street and follow a route that is curated by the Berkshire Camino leader, which takes us through  the Kite Hill and the woodland trails. Back to Spring Street around 1pm.

The hike will emphasize mindfulness. This is inspired by the guide’s personal experience walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Put your thoughts and conversation about daily life aside for the duration of the hike. This is an opportunity to take a mini-pilgrimage by setting an intention, walking with keen curiosity and awareness of what we are sensing on the hike.

COST/ REGISTRATION: The Young Professional CoW group will sponsor the costs of the first 6 people who RSVP to Daglar (dt8) or Christine (cs29). (This would normally be $80 per adult, $40 for teens). Waitlist will be started after cap for the free spots is reached.

This hike is open to all family and partners of Williams employees, as well as any kids who can do the walking. (It is an easy to moderate terrain which is predominantly flat. There are a few uphill sections and much of the hike is on slightly undulating terrain)
