At some point, every supervisor will have to manage an employee whose performance is sub-par.  It’s difficult and time consuming work, no doubt about it.  Fortunately you don’t have to do it alone.  This program is designed to equip you with a straightforward strategy for resolving performance problems that is both responsible and caring.  Case study discussions will show you how to conduct performance conversations and appropriately document them.  We’ll discuss relevant legal issues associated with resolving performance problems, and review the college’s disciplinary process, including the performance improvement plan.  Finally, we’ll discuss the particular challenges of setting performance standards during the pandemic and lay out specific strategies for addressing them.

This program is part of the Supervisory Training Series.
