First published in 1991, Bridges’ book focuses on the human side of change. In the end, the only change that leaders can make is through other people, and we ignore their needs, hopes, and fears at our peril. Bridges’ model focuses on the importance in understanding what change means for people, the inevitable good byes that it entails, and the space of possibility and uncertainty that must be crossed before people are willing to embrace new roles and commit to new ways of working.
Kevin will present key insights from the book and lead discussions about how to apply them at Williams. You don’t need to read the book to attend! This program is part of the Summer Studies in Change Management series.
