Spring 2017 Team Activity Challenge FAQ

Summer 2017 Individual Activity Challenge Is Here!

Are you ready to Get Mooving toward better health while having fun with your family, friends, and coworkers? We want to help you commit to improved physical activity and overall well-being one “minute” at a time!

  • What is the Activity Challenge?

The Activity Challenge is tracked through ahealthyme.com. The goal for individuals log 900 minutes of exercise at the end of 6 weeks (150 minutes avg./week). In addition, all subscribers who complete 900 minutes of exercise will be entered into a raffle for a $25 Amazon gift card (taxable) at the end of 4 weeks!  The goal is to get participants to become more active outside their normal daily routine and track their progress toward better health.

Other activities (e.g. biking, swimming, yoga, gardening, or kayaking) are also eligible to be tracked (more information below).

  • How do I access the HealthyNow app?

    • Download the HealthyNow app at ahealthyme.com.
    • Click the “Activate the HealthyNow app” button on the homepage for instructions and to get your personal access code to start the download process on your phone.
    • Once you’ve downloaded the app, you can view your progress in the challenge.
    • Launch the app and click on “Challenges” to view the progress bar.

  • Can I use my Fitbit® for this challenge?

Yes. Link it to ahealthyme to get credit for your exercise minutes. Please do not convert your total daily steps to minutes, only count actual minutes of exercise. Log in to ahealthyme.com and click on “Link Your Fitbit.” Follow the instructions provided and you are good to go!
  • What if I don’t have a Fitbit®?

You can use any device or no device at all, that’s the beauty of this Activity Challenge! You simply enter your exercise activity minutes in the Cardio Log or use the HealthyNow app.

    1. Click on “Exercise” located on the top navigation bar. Next, click “Exercise Logs”, and then click on “Cardio Log.”
    2. Under the System Provided tab, use the drop-down to find and select an exercise.
    3. Add your minutes of exercise and save.
    4. Or select the + Add Custom tab to create your own exercise and add minutes.

  • Are other activities (e.g. biking, swimming, yoga, gardening, or kayaking) eligible to be tracked?

Yes! Use the ahealthyme Cardio Log to log your minutes of exercise.

    1. Click on “Exercise” located on the top navigation bar. Next, click “Exercise Logs”, and then click on “Cardio Log.”
